Indian Army player Velu P started a mission. Under this mission, he decided to run 4000 km from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 50 days. Velu P started long distance running. During this time the Indian Army proudly sent him off from Srinagar. Velu’s mission is to reach Delhi, Indore, Mumbai, and Bangalore from Kanyakumari.
The flag-off ceremony saw heavy participation of many Army officers and senior military personnel. Velu has been participating in long distance running since his school days and has participated in many marathons even before joining the Indian Army. Velu has two motos, “Green India” and “One Nation One Spirit”, he aims to be included in the Guinness Book of Records with this effort.
Velu’s seniors are proud of him
On this decision of Velu, his seniors in the army said that he is proud of Velu and he is an inspiration for the youth. Velu also thanked the army, who provided them all possible assistance in long distance running. Everyone is very happy with his decision.
Velu is in the race game for 15 years
Velu told that he has been in the race game for 15 years, for five years he has been participating in the Ultramarathon for India’s team. He achieved the Limca record for the 1600 km run last year. This year he wants to include his name in the Guinness Book of Records.
Velu wants to complete the race before 50 days
He told that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, he will cover a distance of 4000 km in 50 days. By the way, he wants to complete this race in 47 to 48 days but, he has set a target of 50 days. He said that one of his teammates in the Indian team LL Meena passed away, he wants to dedicate this long distance to him.
Along with this, he gave a message to the youth and said that he has heard the players saying that they get tired after running 5 to 10 km. He wants to complete this race and tell that there is no limit to the human body. At the same time, Lieutenant Colonel RD Shinde said that he is very happy with his decision.
