A Pakistani man named Faiz Mohammed, aged 24, who entered India illegally through the Nepal border in November 2022 with the aim of reuniting with his wife in Hyderabad, has been apprehended.

Authorities revealed that Faiz Mohammed, hailing from Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, made his entry into India via the Kathmandu border without possessing a valid visa or passport. DCP P Sai Chaitanya of Hyderabad South Zone explained, “We received information about a man residing in the city without proper documentation and took action accordingly. A case has been registered against Mohammed.”
Mohammed played a role in helping Fatima secure employment as a tailor
According to law enforcement officials, Faiz Mohammed had traveled to Sharjah in December 2019 to work at a clothing company and subsequently met an Indian woman named Neha Fatima (29) from Hyderabad. Mohammed played a role in helping Fatima secure employment as a tailor, and their relationship eventually developed into a romantic one. The couple later married, and Neha Fatima gave birth to a three-year-old son.
Following Fatima’s return to India, her parents, Zubair and Afzal Begum, facilitated Mohammed’s entry into India, promising to help him obtain a new identity. Allegedly, Zubair and Afzal Begum orchestrated Mohammed’s arrival from the Nepal border by arranging matters with border officials.
Subsequently, Zubair and Afzal Begum took Mohammed to an Aadhaar enrollment center in Madhapur, where he was registered under the identity of Mohd Ghouse, ostensibly as their son, using a birth certificate. Currently, the parents of the woman are evading authorities.
DCP Chaitanya stated, “The police are actively investigating the case and have initiated a search operation to locate Zubair and Afzal Begum.”
