Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar has appealed to all people to stay at home during Eid amid growing cases of Coronavirus in the country. Speaking in a webinar on Wednesday, Anjani Kumar said, “As per the orders of the Telangana government, lockdown has been implemented at the state level in view of the increasing cases of corona infection in the state. I appeal to all the people that during Eid (Eid 2021) they all stay at their home and the Muslim community should offer namaz from home. ”
He said that during the lockdown, all mosques and Idgahs would not have congregational prayers traditionally held on Eid and only a limited number of people would be allowed to attend the mosques. Please tell that the Telangana government (Telangana) Has announced a statewide lockdown of 10 days from Wednesday on 11 May. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing cases of corona infection in the state. During this time the state government has banned all types of group prayers and meetings. The Health Department said that at present, the number of active cases in the state has gone up to 60,136.
AIMIM chief Owaisi also appealed to the Muslim community
After announcing the lockdown in the state, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday appealed to the Muslim community to offer prayers at home during Eid. Owaisi said in a tweet, “All Muslims are requested to strictly follow the Corona Protocol during Eid and the Muslim community should offer namaz at home during Holy Ramadan”. The festival of Eid is falling on Friday, which depends on the sight of the moon.
Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across the country on 14 May
In India, due to the absence of Eid’s moon on Wednesday, it is being told that the moon will be seen tomorrow, that is, on Thursday, after which Eid will be celebrated on Friday. Eid has been announced on Friday from Delhi and Lucknow. Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali said that on May 14, the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated, which was also supported by Jama Masjid of Delhi. Earlier, the moon was expected to be seen on May 12, but it did not happen, after which now Eid will be celebrated on May 14 all over the country. That is, on Thursday, the 30th Rosa will be kept.
Appeal to the state government not to extend the lockdown period
With this, Owaisi has urged Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT and city minister KT Rama Rao not to extend the lockdown in the state. He said in his appeal that the lockdown faces a lot of hardships to the working class and small traders, as well as the work and livelihood of the poor and laborers. The state cabinet has decided to implement the lockdown for the next 10 days from 10 am on Wednesday, 12 May. However, there will be exemption for compulsory services during this period.
