Dr. Chaturvedi said that the biggest problem is lack of information. Providing patients is a challenge even if beds and oxygen are available in many hospitals.
What to do if you do not get beds in the hospital, senior doctor Ved Chaturvedi is telling
The cases of transition between the second wave of corona are increasing very rapidly. Along with this, the figure of those who died is also increasing. There is such fear in the minds of people about Corona that they are running towards hospitals as soon as their health worsens. The situation is more or less similar across the country. But is it possible to get all the patients admitted in the hospitals?
The biggest problem facing people is that beds are not empty in hospitals and covid care centers. Even if the bed is barely available, nothing can be said about the arrangement of the oxygen until when it will be available! There is a similar situation of remade in case of Remedesivir injection. There is some really bad situation, but a worse environment is being created than that. Lack of information, rumors, psychological pressure and excess fear are being cited as the reason behind this.
The biggest problem is what to do if hospitals are not getting beds? And before this, the important question is, do all patients need to be taken to the hospital? Can’t Covid Patients Be Treated At Home? In this regard, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director of AIIMS, Delhi, Dr. Naresh Trehan of Medanta and other senior doctors have told a lot. Dr. Ved Chaturvedi has also advised in this regard
Home hospitalization: Most patients can be cured at home
Dr. Ved Chaturvedi, retired lieutenant general and well-known rheumatologist from the army, is currently a senior doctor at Sir Gangaram Hospital. He has issued a video message about these questions, which is very useful for the people. Especially for mild and moderate covid patients, the advice of Dr. Chaturvedi is being said to be beneficial. Dr. Chaturvedi has termed such patients to be admitted in the hospital as essential. According to them, one should not create panic. Except for severe corona patients, most patients are mild and have moderate symptoms. There is no need to panic such patients if they do not get beds in the hospital. Dr. Chaturvedi recommends such hospitals for home hospitalization.
Keep 3 things in mind in the early stages
- If you have mild symptoms ie very mild symptoms, then there is nothing to worry about. Stay at home
- To keep checking the oxygen level, all you have to do is keep the oximeter close.
- Even if your oxygen saturation level is 94 or above, you do not need to do much.
If the Oxygen level goes below 94?
If your oxygen saturation level goes below this, then there is a need to worry a little. All you have to do is lie on your stomach. Normally we lie on our back, but you have to reverse. It is called the prawn position. A pillow under the head, a pillow under the belly and a pillow is placed under the leg. When you lie down on your stomach, your lung, that is, the lungs become enlarged. Lie 2-2 hours like this and do this 2-3 times a day, then your oxygen level will increase.
If the oxygen level still does not increase?
In spite of doing so, if the oxygen saturation level of the patient does not increase, then you have to keep an oxygen cylinder at your home or an oxygen concentrator. There is a big difference between the two. In the oxygen cylinder, you have to fill the gas repeatedly, while the concentrator creates oxygen from the air. Although it is a bit expensive.
Understand that you have done so much… If there is no improvement then go to the nearest diagnostic center and get the CT scan done. If mild covid comes then continue all these things. No need to worry too much. You will be fine at home
What to do if you are not able to recover at home?
If you find a Moderate Kovid in CT Scan, then you should be in touch with a doctor in your locality. We can also call it telemedicine. These doctors will monitor you. In addition to regular medicines, you may be given a medication, which may be more effective than increasing the oxygen.
Despite this, if your situation is not improving and your doctor tells you that you need to be hospitalized, then you must go. But there is no need to panic. Remedesivir injection can be given in the hospital in addition to regular medicines. You will be healthy at home in a few days if there will be improvement as the oxygen level increases. Although this is a much later condition, when the patient has severe cavitation. Before that you do not have to worry about beds in the hospital.
Providing beds and oxygen with the correct information is necessary
On a TV channel, Dr. Chaturvedi said that the biggest problem is lack of information. Providing patients is a challenge even if beds and oxygen are available in many hospitals. Apart from 5-6 hospitals like AIIMS, Sir Gangaram, more people are not aware of 100-150 hospitals in Delhi.
Giving the example of the 1971 war, he said that lack of information was the major reason behind the defeat of Pakistan. This created panic situation and the Pakistan Army surrendered. He said, the corona epidemic is also like a war. It has 0.6 percent criticality, there will be no problem if it is controlled by providing beds and oxygen.
