Haryana: Leopard reached the fields of Panipat, panic in the area, attacked wildlife team personnel during rescue operation

Haryana’s Panipat (Panipat) Leopard came in the fields of village Baharampur in Bapauli town of the district on Saturday. Leopard cutting a farmer’s fodder (LeopardWhen he saw it, he was surprised. After this he informed the villagers about the leopard. Whereas the matter was reported to Bapoli Police (Haryana Police) was also given. Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. After this, information was also given to the SP and DC. DC Camp informed the Wild Lime Team to rescue the leopard. At 10 o’clock in the night, the wildlife team reached the Panipat spot.

After this, the wildlife team and the police conducted a joint rescue operation. During the rescue, a lot of effort had to be made to catch the leopard. During the rescue operation, the leopard attacked the personnel of the wildlife team. During this, three more people who came to rescue were attacked by the leopard.

Farmer saw a leopard in the field

Four people including Sanauli police station SHO Jagjit Singh, Wildlife Inspector Pradeep Kumar, Dr Ashoka Khasa were seriously injured in the attack. But the team showed courage and in the end the leopard was sedated and brought under control. Bhopal resident of village Atolapur told that he is a farmer. At six o’clock on Saturday evening, he had gone to the field to get fodder. Then he saw the leopard roaming in the field.

As soon as the information was received, Sanauli police station in-charge Jagjit Singh and Bapauli police station in-charge Balbir reached the spot along with the police force. Three vehicles of Dial 112 were also called on the spot. The police spread their net around the fields.

The leopard was caught after 5 hours of hard work at 11 pm. When the wildlife team reached at 10 pm, DSP Pradeep Kumar also reached the spot. During this the system deteriorated there. After this people were driven away from there. During this, crowds of people started making videos around the farm. Because of this the leopard became aggressive and attacked.
