Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, Ranbir Gangwa said that in the current procurement season 6 crops are being procured at the minimum support price (MSP). Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar himself is taking reports every day to ensure that the farmer does not face any problem in selling the crop. He said that if any kind is found in the government’s purchase of the crop of farmers, action will be taken against the responsible employees and officials.
The deputy speaker was addressing villagers present on the occasion of BJP’s 41st Foundation Day program in village Harikot and Gunjar in Hisar on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address was also broadcast live during the program. In his address, the deputy speaker said that the farmer who brought the crop to the procurement center or mandi, has been instructed to pay the crop within a period of 40 hours after getting the J-Farm. If the farmer is not paid within 72 hours, then the government will pay 9 percent interest on that amount.
He said that according to the thinking of Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, many welfare schemes have been started by the state government, which are being implemented on the ground. He said that today is also the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He said that the government is doing the overall development of the state on the path of Haryana one-Haryanvi one. The goal of the government is to increase the pace of development and provide facilities as per the requirement to the last person of the society.
The remarks of the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly came after the statement by the Provincial President of Haryana Pradesh Vyapar Mandal, in which he alleged that the Haryana Government has not made adequate arrangements for the purchase of wheat. On Monday, Bajrang Garg said that due to no arrangement in the mandis, farmers are facing difficulty in selling wheat. Along with this, he demanded that the government should allow farmers to sell wheat in the mandis as before. Right now the authorities are harassing the farmers by making the excuse of registration and server down on the web portal.
