The state government claims that it is also giving seeds on subsidy to some farmers.

These crops are bought on MSP

The Manohar Lal government claimed that Haryana is the only state in the country to procure 14 crops at MSP. These include wheat, paddy, mustard, barley, gram, sunflower, moong, groundnut, maize, millet, cotton, sesame, tur and urad. The price of sugarcane has been increased to Rs 362 per quintal, which is the highest in the country. Meri Fasal-Mera Byora Portal has been started so that the farmer does not face any problem in selling his produce, so that he can get subsidy, fertilizers, seeds and loans on time.

436 crores given on millet crop

Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana was started for Bajra from Kharif season 2021 as well. Under this scheme, 2.40 lakh farmers have been given a Bhavantar amount of Rs 436 crore at the rate of Rs 600 per quintal on the difference between the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the average market price for the purchase of millet. Agro-forestry has also been included in the ‘Mera Pani-Meri Virasat’ scheme launched for crop diversification and water conservation. Under this, incentive amount has been given to the farmers.

Will pay premium of crop insurance scheme

Insurance of horticulture crops has been started in the state. In which fruits, vegetables and spice crops have been covered. Not only this, the state government has decided to pay the premium of farmers cultivating less than 2 acres under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Whereas it has been announced to pay half the premium for the share of the cultivators from 2 to 5 acres.
