As soon as the Kavad Yatra started, a shocking news has come out of the Narsan border of Haridwar. The real identity of a shop called 'Gupta Chaat Bhandar' was revealed here when a devotee scanned the name of the shop owner after a digital payment. The name that came out on the screen was “Gulfam”. After this revelation, there was resentment among the devotees and questions started to arise about the shop.
According to the information related to the incident, when the devotees were buying goods from Gupta Chaat Bhandar, some people scanned the QR code while paying. When the real name of the owner came out during the scanning, it became clear that the name of the shop is being changed to religious travelers.
This case is also considered serious because special care is taken to the feelings of devotees on a religious occasion like Kavad Yatra. The police and administration had already given clear instructions that no business should do business by hiding its true identity. Nevertheless, such activity is also raising questions on the administrative system.
Devotees feel cheating
Local people and travelers say that such fake identity not only makes devotees feel deception, but it can also cause communal tension. Now people are asking that on what basis is permission to run such shops on the religious journey route?
At present, the police administration has started investigating the case and documents related to the respective shop are being searched. In view of the sentiments of the devotees, the administration has assured that strict action will be taken against those who repeat such incidents.
