Central government promoting agricultural startups (symbolic image, social media)
Various schemes are being run to promote agriculture in the country. Work is going on doubling the income of the farmers, as well as the benefits of the schemes are being passed on to the farmers. In this regard, the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the Modi government is giving special impetus to agriculture start-ups. He said, this is the golden period of agriculture in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And under his leadership technological intervention, research and innovation in agriculture will double the income of farmers by 2022.
Government serious about doubling the income of farmers
The Minister said this while participating in the closing ceremony of the 5-day North India Regional Agriculture Fair 2021 as the Chief Guest at SKUAST Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh said that PM Narendra Modi is serious about agricultural development in India, which can be gauged from the fact that to increase the income of farmers by 2022. Two new ministries, Jal Shakti and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship have been created only to promote agriculture and doubling agriculture.
‘Heli-borne survey technology’
He further mentioned that an important link in this is the recently introduced ‘Heli-borne Survey Technology’ for groundwater management and mapping of groundwater resources in arid regions for drinking and agricultural purposes. Dr Jitendra Singh said that under the present government there has been a revolutionary change in agriculture and agricultural production in India which is evident from the various initiatives taken by the government for the welfare of farmers like Soil Health Card, Neem Coated Urea, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, etc. Is. PM Kisan Samman, e-NAM, PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana has not only made the agriculture sector economic and resourceful but has also given respect and respect to the farmers, which was lacking earlier. Enumerate the development initiatives taken in J&K along with agriculture and innovation, Dr Singh said setting up of North India’s first Biotechnology Park, two high seed processing plants in Kathua, India’s first Aroma Mission launched Jammu will open new avenues of opportunities and innovation and development in agriculture.
Farmers getting benefits
While talking to the farmers present on the occasion, Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized that a farmer can now engage himself in many activities depending on his capacity, resources so that he can be integrated as now the work in files done is over. Jitendra Singh said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide all facilities to the farmer which is being done by the present government without any compromise.
