How much subsidy has increased
After the harvesting of Kharif crops, now sowing of Rabi crops is about to start. Meanwhile, news of shortage of fertilizers is coming from many states of the country. Long queues of farmers are being seen at the fertilizer distribution centers. Recently, the government has given relief to the farmers by increasing the subsidy on DAP. If the government did not increase the subsidy, the farmers would have to spend more for the DAP. On October 12, the Narendra Modi government at the Center had approved to increase the subsidy on DAP from Rs 24,231 to Rs 33,000 per tonne.
Earlier, the cost of a packet of 50 kg DAP was Rs 2411. Out of this, the government used to give Rs 1211 as subsidy and farmers would get DAP for Rs 1200. Recently, the price of DAP increased to Rs 2850. In such a situation, the burden on the pockets of the farmers started increasing. In view of this, the government increased the subsidy money.
The government increased the subsidy amount from Rs 1211 to Rs 1650. In this way farmers do not have to spend much money to buy DAP. They are getting 50 kg packet for Rs 1200 only.

global price hike
The increase in global prices has led to a decline in imports of fertilizers. This is the reason why the situation is getting worse. According to the news of the Indian Express, the price of imported DAP in India has reached $ 675 to $ 680 per ton this time, compared to $ 370 at the same time last year.
How farmers will get the benefit of subsidy
Farmers still have to pay only Rs 1200 for a sack of DAP. To avail the subsidy, you will also have to provide your Aadhar card or Kisan card and after your identification by biometric (thumb impression) the government will release 1650 rupees of subsidy through DBT in the company’s bank account.
Once again a worrying situation has arisen in the states regarding the supply of fertilizers. Farmers are suffering due to non-availability of fertilizers on time. Farmers say that due to getting 2 bags of DAP per acre, the supply is not getting while they need 4 to 5 bags per acre.
