Online learning driving license will be available in Maharashtra
In Maharashtra, now it has become even easier to take a Learner’s License Online Test. On Tuesday, the Uddhav government has issued two important orders for 50 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) of the state. According to the first order, now people can apply for learning license sitting at home only through the details of Aadhaar and for this the test will also be taken online. The person will be identified through Aadhaar and the learning license will be available from the comfort of home. In the second order, it has been said that dealers no longer need to come to the RTO for registration of non-transport vehicles, this is also possible through Aadhaar authentication.
Maharashtra Transport Commissioner Avinash Dhankhade said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray can start these schemes himself within a day or two. He said that after the introduction of these facilities, the large number of people coming to the RTO will be reduced. With this, the work of getting licenses through corruption and agents will also stop. This will save people both time and money. For a total of 18 things like license renewal, registration certificate, work will now be done through Aadhaar authentication. It is being used for many facilities since March this year.
Maharashtra gives 20 lakh learning licenses every year
Maharashtra Transport Department issues more than 20 lakh learning licenses every year. The same number of bikes, non-transport vehicles are registered every year. The National Informatics Center (NIC) has developed Vahan 4.0 and Sarathi 4.0 systems which are being used for registration and issuance of learning licenses. Now the learning license will be available through Aadhar card number and an online test.
how will the test be
In this test you will be shown some videos related to road safety. After this you will have to give a test in which you will be issued a license after getting 60 percent marks.
Road and Transport Ministry has already made new guidelines
Let us tell you that the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has come up with new guidelines for the making and renewal of driving license. According to this new rule, the entire process of getting Learner’s license will be online. That is, from the application to the printing of the license, the entire process will be online. Along with this, electronic certificates and documents can be used for medical certificates, learner’s license, driving license surrender and its renewal.
Convenience for RC renewal as well
It is worth noting that the purpose behind bringing such guidelines is that the process of registration of a new vehicle can also be simplified. Renewal of Registration Certificate (RC) can now be done 60 days in advance, apart from this the time limit for temporary registration has also been increased from 1 month to 6 months. Along with this, the government has also made some changes in the process for Learner’s License. According to which you will not need to go to RTO for driving test, this work can be done online through tutorials sitting at home. This step is going to give great relief at the time of Corona epidemic.
At the end of March, the Ministry of Road and Transport has extended the validity of motor vehicle documents such as driving license (DL), registration certificate (RC), fitness certificate, permit etc. to 30 June 2021 in view of the growing corona crisis. The ministry has issued a circular saying that in view of the deteriorating situation due to corona in the entire country, these documents which were expired on 1 February 2020, will be considered valid till 30 June 2021.
