The accused has been worshiping in the temple for 8 years

During the raid, the police team found chinkara skin kept under the carpet. The police arrested the priest and brought him to the police station for questioning. During interrogation, the accused named his name as Damodar Shastri Dolat Nagar. The accused is originally from village Senwa Shergarh Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He has been worshiping in the temple for about eight years. On the complaint of the PFA officer, a case has been registered against the accused under the Wildlife Act.

Delhi-Meerut highway blocked

Angry family members and locals blocked the Delhi-Meerut highway near Sikri village in Modinagar on Tuesday afternoon after a youth was found dead near railway tracks. The protesters blocked the Delhi-Meerut highway near Sikri and placed the youth’s body on the road. The police tried to remove them, but failed. Police officials later pacified him and assured that an FIR would be registered under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
