Former Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. He has been found to be Corona Positive and was admitted to Gokak Taluk Hospital due to trouble in breathing. Jarkiholi told reporters waiting outside the hospital that he has been advised to rest due to being infected with Corona. At the same time, the doctors who treated him said that Jarakiholi would have to stay in home isolation for at least two weeks.
Dr. Ravindra of the hospital said that the rapid antigen test of Jarakiholi was done on Thursday night, in which he was confirmed to be positive. BJP MLA Jarkiholi, who was facing allegations of sexual exploitation, did not appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday for health reasons. Earlier, he was interrogated on March 29, in which he asked for four days time to answer the questions. It is not clear yet when he will be questioned next.
Jarkiholi resigned after the matter came to light
Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi resigned from his post a day after allegations of sexual harassment were leveled against him and the alleged sex tape surfaced of being intimate with the woman. The woman, who appears in the alleged video with Jarkiholi, has accused him of ‘raping’ her in the guise of getting him a government job. At the same time, former minister Jarakiholi had said about these allegations against him, “There is no truth in the allegations against me, it should be investigated as soon as possible, I trust my innocence but taking moral responsibility, I will take the position of cabinet minister. Resigning. ” Ramesh Jarkiholi is also one of the 17 MLAs who helped to topple the HD Kumaraswamy-led Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and Congress coalition government in 2019 and form the BJP government in the state.
