Food processing project started in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, farmers will benefit and youth will get employment

मध्य प्रदेश के मुरैना में शुरू हुआ फूड प्रोसेसिंग प्रोजेक्ट, किसानों को होगा फायदा और युवाओं को मिलेगा रोजगार

700 people will get direct and indirect employment through this project. Also 1000 farmers of this area will get benefit through this project.

Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Prahlad Singh Patel on Sunday launched the M/s Sahara Frozen Foods project established in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, the Minister of State, in his address, firstly while congratulating the promoter of the project, said that local level processing by this project will benefit everyone and also said that priority is always given to local farmers and regional crops by the ministry. .

Food Processing Week is being celebrated by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries from 6th September 2021 to 12th September 2021 as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ being celebrated by the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of the country’s independence. Under which many programs are being organized by the ministry. The minister inaugurated this unit on the last day of the Food Processing Week.

The total cost of M/s Sahara Frozen Foods project is Rs.21.09 crores and Rs.10.00 crores has been given as grant by the Ministry.

Farmers will get benefit and youth will get employment

In this project IQF Pre-processing Line for Fruits & Vegetables – 4 MT/hr, Deep Freezer/ Frozen Store – 4000 MT, Modern Racking System (Stacking) – 4000 MT, High Reach Material Handling – 2 Units, Packing Machines, water treatment plants, water storage tanks etc. give this project a more classic and state-of-the-art look. Frozen vegetables like peas, cabbage etc. are mainly prepared by this processing unit.

Ministry today transferred Rs 5.41 crore to community based organizations as seed capital for 1498 members of Self Help Groups in Maharashtra under PMFME Scheme for Empowerment of Entrepreneurs in Food Processing Industry Sector. Apart from this, the success story of ‘Mohit Kishor Khedikar’, a beneficiary of PMFME scheme and entrepreneur of Madhur Bakery, in the series ‘Story of Self-reliant Enterprise’ was published on the social media platforms of the ministry.
