The reason for this is the ‘Kisan Drone’ of the indigenous company Garuda Aerospace getting an important approval from the government.
Aviation sector regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation to drone maker Garuda Aerospace for indigenous farmer drone (DGCA) ‘Type Certification’ and ‘RPTO’ (Remote Pilot Training Organization) approval has been received.
Certification received for GA-AG model
Garuda Aerospace said in a statement on Sunday that the Kisan drone has been designed keeping in mind the works related to agriculture. Type certification has been received for its GA-AG model. DGCA gives this certificate on the basis of quality check. It is issued only after strict investigation of the drone (unmanned aircraft). At the same time, Remote Pilot Training Organization is a DGCA recognized organization which gives Remote Pilot Certificate under Rule-34 of Drone Rules-2021.
Proof of Make in India Kisan Drone
On Kisan Drone getting both the certifications from DGCA, Garuda Aerospace founder Agnishwar Jayaprakash said that DGCA giving both the certificates is actually a proof of India’s indigenous, Made in India manufacturing capabilities. We also have a demand to make 5,000 drones within the next five months.
He said that now after getting this approval, we are sure that there will be growth in this sector. At the same time, the essential skills will also be used properly.
Farmer’s drone will change farming
Regarding the usefulness of farmer drones, Agnishwar Jayaprakash said that his company’s drones will be useful for farmers as well as agricultural entrepreneurs. This will change his life. At the same time, it will also give place to the career of the new generation.
The farmer is capable of doing many tasks related to drone farming. Such as uniform spraying of insecticides, monitoring of crops, gathering of data related to land and collection of data etc.
