Due to heavy rains in Latur and Buldhana districts of Maharashtra, crops are getting ruined. Due to this, farmers are suffering on a large scale. Farmers say that the soybean crop has been ruined the most due to the rains. If it continues to rain like this, then along with soybeans, the production of other crops can also be greatly reduced. The crops of the farmers of Maharashtra are getting spoiled first due to drought and now due to rain and farmers are losing lakhs of rupees.
The soybean crop in Lakkar Jalgaon of Shirur Anantpal tehsil of Latur district has been destroyed on a large scale. The harvest was expected to be good after sowing. But due to lack of rain, due to drought, soybean grains could not come out of the beans and now due to heavy rains, the trouble of the farmers has increased. About 300 acres of soybean crop has been damaged in Jalgaon in Latur district. Soybean crop has also been affected in a lot of area in Sakol village near this village.
How is the condition of other districts of Maharashtra?
These days record breaking rains are continuing in Maharashtra. It has been raining heavily in Lonar taluka of Buldhana district for the last 15 days. Urad crops have been damaged due to rain, due to which farmers are expected to suffer losses of lakhs. Along with soybean, the crop of urad has also been ruined, due to which it is being speculated that production may decrease. Soybean producing farmers have requested the government that they should be given immediate financial help.
Most of the farming is done in these states.
Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have the highest cultivation of soybean. Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra are at the fore in terms of production. Millions of farmers of the country are associated with soybean cultivation. Many times the pests and diseases caused by it cause a lot of trouble to the farmers.
