There are 7 exit polls for the Bengal elections. TMC has shown an edge in 3 out of these 7 surveys, while BJP has claimed victory in 4 surveys.
The results of the assembly elections held in the last 5 states of West Bengal, Kerala, Assam, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu were declared on Sunday. It is being told that except for West Bengal, the results of other states were announced according to the estimates of Exit Poll. Mamta Banerjee is going to become the Chief Minister of Bengal for the third consecutive time in West Bengal.
TMC has won more than 200 seats. While the BJP was reduced to 80 seats, Mamata Banerjee had to face defeat from Shubhendu Adhikari in Nandigram, the high-profile seat. According to the exit poll, this time there was a tough fight between the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and (BJP) in West Bengal. At the same time, one thing was common in all exit polls that BJP will make a big lead in West Bengal, however, some also said that the party will win.
What does the exit poll say
The Times Now-C voter exit poll predicted 158 seats for TMC, 115 for BJP and 19 seats for others. The ABP-C voter predicted TMC to get 152-164 seats, BJP 109-121 seats and Left-Congress alliance 14-25 seats. According to the Republic-CNX exit poll, BJP’s TMC with 138-148 seats But there was an edge, which was estimated to get 128–138 seats.
At the same time, all exit polls predicted a clear victory for the DMK-led coalition in Tamil Nadu. Today’s Chanakya predicted 164-186 seats for the DMK and 46-68 seats for the ruling AIADMK-led coalition. Republic-CNX poll said that DMK was expected to win 160-170 seats while AIADMK could get 58-68 seats.
Exit poll of kerala
In Kerala, all exit polls were similar in that the LDF would retain power in the state. In Kerala, the ABP-CVoter exit poll predicted LDF to get 71-77 seats, UDF 62-68 seats and BJP 0-2 seats. The exit poll of India Today-Axis My India had said that LDF was predicted to get 104-120 seats, UDF 20-36 seats, BJP 0-2 seats and others 0-2 seats.
On the other hand, if the Union Territory of Puducherry is talked about, then all exit polls predicted victory for NDA in Puducherry.
The ABP-CVoter exit poll predicted the NDA to win 19-23 seats, UPA 6-10 seats and others 1-2 seats.
According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, the NDA was expected to get 20-24 seats, UPA 6-10 seats and others 0-1 seats.
There was no ambiguity in the exit poll for Assam that the BJP-led NDA would form the government. In the exit poll of India Today-Axis My India, it was said that BJP-led NDA is likely to get 75-85 seats out of 126 seats.
