NewsNCR Editor Special Project Abhishek Upadhyay has interviewed Preeti Choksi, wife of fugitive Mehul Choksi. In this interview, Preeti made many big revelations and also made serious allegations against Indian agencies. Preeti told TV 9 Bharatvarsh that her husband was kidnapped by Indian agencies from Antigua. Now the question arises that why did Indian agencies do this? Preeti answered this question with impunity. Hearing on the extradition of Mehul Choksi, India’s fugitive and accused of thousands of crores scam, is still going on in the High Court of Dominica. NewsNCR has received news that India’s fugitive Mehul Choksi has raised an army of lawyers to defend himself. On the Caribbean island across the seven seas, he has also called for big lawyers from Britain. Those who have been brought to Dominica by paying crores of rupees and by private jet. So that they can save him from being extradited to India.
Mehul Choksi… whose life till three-four years ago was being spent very comfortably in Mumbai, the financial capital of India. Mehul Choksi, a famous diamond businessman of the country, had showrooms of about 4 thousand diamonds and other expensive gems. There used to be a fair of stars behind him. But times changed, circumstances changed and today Mehul Choksi’s identity remains as a fugitive on the island of Dominica, 14 thousand kilometers from India. On which there is an allegation of embezzlement of 13 and a half thousand crores of Indian banks.
If you are thinking by looking at these pictures of Mehul Choksi, who is in jail in Dominica, that he is now leading a life of poverty. He is being tortured by the police in Dominica. So don’t spend your sympathy for this criminal of India. Because listening to the disclosure that we are going to make today, you will find it difficult to believe your ears. Actually, even though India’s fugitive Mehul Choksi is trying to make himself feel helpless and helpless by releasing such pictures. But the reality is that even on the Caribbean island, he is not shying away from making full use of his black money.
Mehul Choksi has raised an army of lawyers in Dominica by spending millions of dollars. These big lawyers have been called from Britain to the island of Dominica. Who has arrived by chartered plane for the hearing of Mehul’s case. So that he can prove his innocence and escape from the clutches of the ED and CBI team who left India. Imagine the fugitive Mehul Choksi on whom dozens of cases of embezzlement are registered in India. Whose house in Mumbai has notices of many banks on the walls. Who is accused of scam of billions of crores. From where and how is he collecting lakhs and crores sitting thousands of kilometers away from the country. How is he calling big lawyers from Britain through a private jet on a small island. How are such lawyers, who charge thousands and millions of dollars for hearing a case, their expenses.
Not only this, allegations are also being made that Mehul Choksi and his brother together have kept the Leader of the Opposition in Dominica with them by paying money. So that there could be a government opposition to his extradition to India. According to Caribbean media, Mehul Choksi’s brother tried to woo political figures in Dominica. Leader of the opposition party in Dominica Lenex Linton was given a bribe of Rs 1.5 crore. Choksi’s brother also promised financial help to the opposition MP in the elections. Chetan Choksi gave 2 lakh dollars i.e. 1.5 crore rupees as token money. After Mehul’s release, there was a deal to pay even more money to Lennox Linton. However, the leader of Dominica’s opposition party, Linton, has denied the deal and called the allegations against him politically motivated.
All the allegations against me are baseless. There is no truth in this. The news paper claimed to have met Choksi at my private house but at the moment I do not have any private house. The house was destroyed in the storm which is not yet built. In such a situation, I did not meet Choksi or anyone at private residence. Be it trying to get political support in Dominica or importing expensive lawyers from Britain. It is obvious that the money that Mehul Choksi and his brother are spending for all this, all that wealth has been deposited through scams from Indian banks. Which he used earlier for fun in Dominica with his girlfriend and now he is spending the same wealth to save himself from legal custody.
Mehul Choksi has spent about 70 lakh rupees on a chartered plane to get a lawyer from Britain. But all his efforts hardly work. Because the team of CBI and ED has already reached Dominica 4 days ago to bring the fugitive Mehul back to India. A total of 8 officials from India have gone to Dominica. The team includes officers from CBI, ED and CRPF. This 8-member team reached Dominica on 28 May itself. This team was also present during the hearing on Mehul in the Dominica High Court today.
