Bengal Election: Mamta Banerjee said that I will win Bengal by standing on one of my feet and in future I will stand on both my legs and win in Delhi. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s announcement of contesting from Varanasi against PM Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is also being seen in this context.

Mamata Benarjee

The battle of Modi Vs Mamata in Bengal (Bengal) is now seen going out of the Assembly Election and leading up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Actually, at a rally in Hooghly on Monday, Mamata Banerjee targeted Prime Minister Modi (PM Modi) and BJP (BJP) and said that ‘I will win Bengal by standing on one of my feet and in future I will stand on both my feet in Delhi. I will win Similarly, in West Bengal (West Bengal) Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the announcement of contesting elections from Varanasi Lok Sabha against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha election is also being seen in this context. This bet of the leaders is very effective. By placing bets against a big leader, the leaders regain the stature of that big leader in the eyes of their supporters.

You will remember that in 2014, by challenging Narendra Modi, Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal had made his stature at the national level for a few days. However, Mamata Banerjee does all this in anger. Similarly, once in anger, his decision to contest against Shubhendu Adhikari in Nandigram has been taken as his life.

His political stature may have grown among his supporters on the matter of Mamata Banerjee’s Delhi victory, but perhaps some political parties supporting him may also be angry with him. Because in 2024 many leaders who see themselves as Prime Minister are still in the queue. It should also be said about Rahul Gandhi, the former president of Congress, that keeping in mind only 2024, he did not come to campaign in West Bengal. Because the Congress, which is contesting with the Left Front in Bengal, does not want to speak a word against the Trinamool Congress under any circumstances. In such a situation, Mamata has already made haste by declaring herself as the Prime Ministerial candidate. However, if Mamata Banerjee wins this time in Bengal and manages to form her government, then she can definitely become a big face for the opposition. But if he was defeated in this assembly election by mistake, then this dream, his dream, will remain.

Sharad Pawar is also in the Prime Minister’s line

Recently, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had also given a statement and said that the UPA should be amended and its leader NCP chief Sharad Pawar should be made. The leader of the UPA means the prime ministerial candidate from the opposition. Although NCP Chief Sharad Pawar may be happy with this, but the Congress, the oldest party in the country, was definitely annoyed. It gets annoyed because Congress has been in the hands of the United Progressive Alliance or UPA for decades and the Congress was the prime ministerial candidate in 2014 and 2019 on behalf of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi and even further Rahul Gandhi She wants to be seen as the face of the opposition and the prime ministerial candidate.

However, let us tell you that neither Mamata Banerjee is part of the UPA nor the Shiv Sena. Consider Sanjay Raut or Mamta Banerjee and think if the Congress does not leave the UPA, will all the regional parties along with it form a separate third front in the country with the face of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. But this is crooked because in the third front too there are many senior leaders who dream of becoming the Prime Minister.

Can a third front be formed?

It is difficult to imagine any alliance without BJP and Congress in the country because there is a history of last few years when many alliances were formed and broken. In the 2015 Bihar Assembly elections, two regional anti-regional parties JDU and RJD contested and won together, but within a few months of victory, the two parties split and JDU formed a government with the BJP in Bihar. On the same lines, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party also fought the by-elections of Uttar Pradesh together. It was only after the end of the election that the paths of the two parties diverged and both parties started accusing each other of not supporting them. However, in UP, the alliance of SP and Congress did not last for long, and in the 2017 assembly elections, it had to face a crushing defeat.

Mamta Banerjee has also tried to create a third front before

Mamta Banerjee and TRS chief Chandrashekhar Rao had tried to form a non-BJP and Congress alliance in the country before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. For this, there was a lot of discussion in the political corridors. Some parties also agreed to this, but most of the parties understood their well-being in staying with either Congress or BJP. Actually, running a government at the center without any national party is like chewing Nako gram in a country like India. Because the history of the country has been that without any major party, no government has finished its full term till date and it has fallen in the middle.

For the country too, a coalition government is better than a coalition because then there is no pressure on its decisions and it can openly take decisions in the interest of the country. With this, the current government does not even have a way to be able to accuse someone else of their mistakes that we were in the coalition and could not take any decision because of these parties. There is also pressure to respond to the public as much as open independence is with the government of the majority.
