Vijay Runda was known to the scientists of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. They got the benefit of this. When the scientists of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Palandu needed land to plant saplings for research. Vijay gave him his land. After this, in the year 2001, scientists of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research planted 40 mango and 95 guava saplings. Apart from this, he has one and a half acres of land left in which he cultivates vegetables. Among vegetables, potatoes, brinjals and tomatoes are cultivated.

The advantage of being near the market
Vijay says that he got the advantage of being close to the city. They do not have to work hard to get their product to the market and also do not spend much. Apart from this, the prices are also good. Vijay says that farming is a profession with uncertainty. Even if there is a fruit or flower in the plant, we cannot use it till nature does not want us to use it. Vijay tells that he used to do intercropping in his garden earlier.
