On the personal meeting of PM Modi and CM Thackeray, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has said that there will be a discussion when Modi and Thackeray meet.
There was a personal meeting between PM-CM Thackeray for 30 minutes.
After becoming the Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray along with his delegation met Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday for the third time. Among the prominent people who met the Prime Minister were Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Cabinet Minister Ashok Chavan along with the CM. Apart from all this, there was a private meeting between PM Modi and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
In this meeting, about the Maratha and OBC reservation, reservation in promotion, the amount of GST received from the center, conditions of crop insurance, parameters related to help for cyclonic storm, metro carshed, funds to the state under the 14th Finance Commission. Talked for two hours.
Politics heats up due to personal conversation between CM Thackeray and PM
The 30-minute meeting between CM Thackeray and PM alone has heated up a new discussion in Maharashtra politics. After this meeting, it is being asked whether the distance between BJP and Shiv Sena is decreasing? Is there a sign of the two parties coming together once again? There is also reason to boil in discussions. This meeting, which started at 11 am in the Prime Minister’s residence, lasted for two and a half hours and in this meeting there was a personal conversation between the PM and the CM for 30 minutes. As soon as the news of this conversation came, the state BJP immediately called a meeting of the party leaders. This is one of the important reasons that has intensified the discussions.
What did CM Uddhav Thackeray say on personal conversation?
After the meeting, when the Chief Minister was addressing the journalists, this question was raised by a journalist, then the Chief Minister said to the press that I had not gone to meet Nawaz Sharif. I do not hide such things and there is no need to hide them. Even though we are not together in power today. But because of this, the relationship does not break. What is wrong if I meet him personally?
Further, the Chief Minister said that I had a phone conversation with him in the past and he said that the government is doing a good job. It was a personal conversation. Even today we had a personal meeting with him. This time also he inquired about his condition. Giving information about this meeting, the Chief Minister said that why did the alliance (BJP-Shiv Sena alliance) break? What answer to this question after a year and a half?
BJP’s reaction to the personal meeting
There has also been a reaction from the BJP regarding the personal meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Speaking on this meeting, Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis said that whether there was a personal meeting between PM Modi and CM Thackeray, I do not know. If there is a personal meeting then it is a good thing. It will definitely benefit the state. I welcome this. The Prime Minister has a personal and deep relationship with Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray ji. That relationship is there, it’s a good thing. Personal relationships should never end.
Meeting for political manipulation, BJP MLA alleges
On the other hand, Udayan Raje, a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and BJP MLA, has made a serious allegation about this meeting. MLA Raje said that this meeting was done for political manipulation. The convention should have been called before meeting the Prime Minister. It was necessary to discuss the most. Why didn’t the Chief Minister do this? This meeting has been done to fit the pieces of political nexus on the part of the Chief Minister.
Shiv Sena’s reaction on PM-CM’s personal meeting
Talking to Tv9 on this personal meeting of PM and CM, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant said that is there any threat to the Aghadi government from this personal meeting? Will BJP-Shiv Sena come together? These are all imaginary things. CM Uddhav Thackeray himself has said that the political relationship with Prime Minister Modi is over, not the personal relationship. It is not appropriate to conclude the meeting of two prominent people from imagination. I think in this meeting the discussion would have started with the immediate issue i.e. GST, then there would have been talk about the help related to the recent cyclonic storm Taute, then the question of reservation would have come.
In the opinion of political experts, this meeting should only mean that the relations which had soured due to allegations and counter-allegations between the state government and the central government in the past should be reduced and created compatibility in the center-state relations. Go
