Continuation of deaths due to corona epidemic continues across the country including Delhi. In this episode, on Sunday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain’s father died of a corona infection. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that our Health Minister Satyendra Jain lost his father in Kovid today. Also said that Satyendra himself is working round the clock for the people of Delhi. May his father’s soul rest in peace and my heartfelt condolences to the family.
Coronavirus outbreak in the capital Delhi is spreading very fast. For the first time on Saturday, 412 people died of corona in Delhi in the last 24 hours, after which the figure of total deaths reached 16,559. At the same time, 25219 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. So far, 11,74,552 people have been infected with Corona in Delhi.

Currently, the positivity rate in Delhi is 31.61 per cent and currently 96,747 cases of corona are active, of which 50,554 patients are in home isolation. Meanwhile, 27,421 patients have been cured, the total number of which has increased to 10,61,246. The recovery rate in Delhi is 90.35 percent and the death rate is 1.41 percent. In the last 24 hours, 79,780 sample tests of Corona have been done. These include 63,271 RT-PCR and 16,509 antigen sample tests. A total of 1,72,31,565 corona sample tests have been conducted so far in Delhi. Apart from this, there are 39,556 Containment Zones in Delhi.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced to extend the period of lockdown in the national capital by a week, amid growing Corona cases. Kejriwal had tweeted and said that the lockdown in Delhi is being extended for another week. The current lockdown was scheduled to end at 5 am on May 3, which has been extended by a week.
