After Diwali in the capital Delhi, along with air pollution, now water has also become polluted. Due to which the problems of the people of Delhi have increased further. The level of ammonia in Yamuna water has increased due to which water supply will be affected in many areas of the city (Water supply Affected in Delhi). Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has issued a notification in this regard on Saturday. Pumping from Sonia Vihar, Bhagirathi, Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla WTP has been affected due to rising ammonia level.
The board said water supply is likely to be affected in some areas of the national capital on Saturday evening and in the morning and evening on Sunday. “DJB has taken steps for water rationalization across Delhi to meet the water shortage,” the notification said. It also advised the public to use water properly.

Water supply will be affected in these areas
Water supply may remain affected in many areas of Delhi on Saturday evening and in the morning and evening on Sunday due to rising ammonia level. In which East Delhi, North East Delhi, South Delhi, part of NDMC area and Malviya Nagar are included. Along with this PPP areas like Saket, Pushp Vihar, Katwaria Sarai, Lado Sarai, Khirki, Saidulajab, Gokulpuri, Sonia Vihar, Babarpur, Tahirpur, Dilshad Garden, Nandnagri, Shahdara, Laxmi Nagar, Chitra Vihar, Geeta Colony, Mayur Vihar area, New Water supply may also remain affected in Kondli, Dallupura, Trilokpuri, Surajmal Vihar, Kanti Nagar, Yamuna Vihar, Karawal Nagar.
On the second day of Diwali also, the air quality in Delhi and NCR areas was recorded to be very poor. Due to the thick layer of fog, people are also finding it difficult to breathe. It is believed that in the coming time the air in these areas may become even more toxic.
