Although approval has already been received regarding this, but due to some technical problems, the toll has not been charged till now. Let us inform that with the imposition of toll, the free journey which has been running for about 10 months will also end.
Actually, the proposal to impose toll tax was approved in December. In such a situation, the toll collection was to start from December 25, but the proposal was postponed on the occasion. Where the work of making ROB near Chipiyana village on Aligarh railway line in the second phase of the expressway has not been completed, due to which the traffic is being affected a lot. In such a situation, till the full traffic of the expressway is not normalized, there will be no toll collection. In such a situation, passengers traveling between Delhi and Meerut will have to pay Rs 140 on one side.
New control room to be built in Dasna
At the same time, along with this, the control room monitoring the Automatic Number Plate Reader (ANPR) camera installed on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway was also not fully prepared, due to which there was a lot of trouble in tracking the vehicles which vehicle. From which entry point did you enter? However, a new control room was built by NHAI in Dasna to which all the cameras were connected. At the same time, now the cameras are working on real time, due to which every vehicle coming at toll tax is being scanned and the entry and exit time is being detected correctly.
ROB work continues on its last stage
Let us inform that from Sarai Kale Khan of the capital to Dasna, a four-lane road has been changed to a 14-lane road. However, for this, three new bridges have also been built on Aligarh railway line in Chipiana, in which one 6-lane bridge has been built towards Chipiana village, while two bridges are towards Kavi Nagar Industrial Area. In such a situation, a two-lane bridge has been prepared which has been opened for traffic. Along with this, the work of launching the gorder on the second bridge is also going on at a brisk pace. At the same time, NHAI has fixed the deadline for preparing the last bridge by February 10.
Toll will be levied only in Meerut in the first phase
At the same time, in the beginning of Delhi Meerut Expressway, fee will be collected at Meerut (Partapur) toll plaza only. After that toll will be taken between Sarai Kale Khan to Dasan. For this, the Ministry of Road Transport is making separate guidelines, in which NHAI will get the right to collect toll from the moving vehicle and take action on non-payment of toll.
