Due to the shortage, only 300 out of 500 fixed beds have been operationalized. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. The second wave of Corona has put a lot of pressure on the country’s health system and many states are suffering from lack of beds, oxygen, medicines and medical equipment.
According to official figures, only 350 oxygen beds (out of 500) are in use at the Sardar Patel Kovid Care Center (SPCCC) on Sunday. Statistics have also revealed that only 2.99 MT of liquid medical oxygen is being supplied in this Kovid care center located in Chhatarpur, South Delhi, while the accepted quota is 6.55 MT.
‘Necessary oxygen is also not available’
Government of Delhi (Delhi Government) On the request of Sardar Patel Kovid Care Center in the premises of Radha Swami Beas was started on 26 April. It was started to cater to the needs of Corona patients and is managed by the Medical Branch of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The officials of this center said that the hands of ITBP doctors and paramedical personnel are tied up because the necessary oxygen is not available. He said that apart from this there are other issues like shortage of medicines.
No facility of ICU and ventilator

According to the data, 720 patients of Corona were admitted to this Kovid Center after it started last week, out of which 301 were discharged on the basis of leave on medical consultation, leave on request and leave after treatment.
