A young woman (25), who was preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination in Rajendra Nagar area of the country’s capital Delhi, has allegedly found her body hanging. The police said on Saturday that the preliminary examination of UPSC-2021 will be held on Sunday. Police said that the girl has been identified as Akanksha Mishra and she was originally from Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh. He told that Akanksha had come to Delhi in June 2021 and was preparing for competitive examinations. Police have not found any suicide note from the spot.
In fact, the DCP said that this incident happened on Friday and at 11:50 pm, a call was received from the Police Control Room (PCR) at Rajendra Nagar police station about suicide. According to the DCP, the police team reached the spot and found the deceased hanging from the fan inside a room. He said that apart from the noose mark on his neck, there were no external injuries and the door of the room was also locked from inside. He said that the relatives of Akanksha were immediately informed. Simultaneously, the investigation of the matter has been started. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for postmortem. At the same time, the police has started investigation proceedings under Section S174 of CrPC.

It is noteworthy that the victim’s family told the police that she was very tense about the examination and they suspect that because of this she may have taken this wrong step. According to the police, the girl was living here on rent in Old Rajendra Nagar since October 2. The police officer said that Akanksha was last seen at 11 pm on Friday. Later, Akanksha’s body was found hanging from the fan. The police officer said that the body has been kept at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for 72 hours.
