Delhi Police arrested 17-year-old teenager in connection with rape and murder.
Delhi Police has arrested a 17-year-old teenager for allegedly raping and killing a woman in Delhi’s Dwarka. The police informed about this. Police said that on November 15, Delhi Police had received information that the body of a woman was found in a drain near the garbage.
In the investigation, on November 17, the police had arrested an accused on the charge of murder. Later during interrogation, the accused told the police that he had raped the victim. Fearing to be caught, he strangled her and set her private parts on fire to destroy the evidence.
Teenager taken to apartment on the pretext of work
Police said that the deceased woman was a maid. She knew the accused juvenile as both lived in the adjoining area. According to the information, it has been learned that the relationship between the two was tense. The teenager took the woman to the apartment on the pretext of some work and murdered after rape here. To avoid arrest, he threw his body in the canal near the CNG pump.
In view of the seriousness of the matter, the special team started investigation in this matter. Records of missing people were searched for identification. The police sent the victim’s photo to different WhatsApp groups, after which the photo reached the victim’s family and they came to know about it.
2700 people questioned
During the investigation, about 2700 people have been questioned. CCTV cameras were checked to know the sequence of the incident. An informer was engaged to identify the accused. The police have also added sections of rape. However, the police have not yet received the postmortem report. Further investigation is being done.

Police said that there was a fight between the two recently. The police have recovered the Maruti van which was used to dispose the body. Along with this, the iron pipe used in the crime has also been recovered.
