According to a release issued by the Raj Bhavan, while evaluating the situation of Corona in the state district-wise, the Lieutenant Governor took note of the reduction in the positivity rate in the districts and to implement the Containment Zone Policy effectively. He also stressed on making continuous efforts for this, so that the decline in new cases of infection continues. Along with this, to deal with the epidemic, the Lieutenant Governor urged the people to bring changes in their behavior, so that following Corona rules can be made a part of their daily life.
“Declination in cases should not be accompanied by lack of caution”
The Lieutenant Governor said, “New cases of infection are decreasing continuously in Jammu and Kashmir, but even after this we should not reduce our caution. Containment zone policy and contact tracing should be strictly implemented in all districts. Simultaneously, civil society groups and religious leaders should also be involved along with doctors and health workers to further accelerate the vaccination campaign. The Lt Governor stressed upon the officers to ensure maximum immunization coverage in the districts apart from making people easy access to basic facilities.
Urge everyone to follow corona protocol
Sinha said, “The civil administration and police will have to make extra efforts to make people aware about social distancing, wearing masks and containment zones. The administration and police should form joint teams to reach out to the people in the markets and other areas. Covid Care Centers in Panchayats should be used effectively. I urge everyone to follow the corona protocol so that ultimately this pandemic can be tackled at the earliest.
Recovery rate 95.2 and positivity rate 1.3 percent
