The decomposed body of a 53-year-old woman was found in a plastic bag in an apartment in Mumbai’s Lalbagh area. The woman’s brother and nephew had reported her missing a few days ago at the Kalachowki police station.
After the complaint, the police reached the woman’s house for search, where her body was found in a plastic bag. The woman’s arms and legs and parts of her body were chopped off. Police have sent the body for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death. Along with this, his 22-year-old daughter Rimple Prakash Jain has also been arrested.
Police said that the woman was murdered in the month of December. After killing the woman, both her hands and legs were chopped off. Sickles, cutters and small knives were used for this. Police have recovered sickles, cutters and a small knife.
The woman was locked in the closet for months
DCP Praveen Mundhe said that the woman killed has been identified as Veena Prakash Jain. The police suspect that it was the daughter who kept the mother locked in the closet for months. After this he was murdered.
