There is a record increase in new cases of corona virus in the country. Due to the fast growing infection, the number of active patients of Kovid has also crossed 8 lakh. According to data received from various states on Tuesday, more than 1.07 lakh cases of infection were reported, which is the highest number of cases in a day. In Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, new cases of Kovid-19 are increasing the most. According to the Health Ministry, 80.04% of new cases were reported from these 8 states on Tuesday. Amidst the demand by various states to apply vaccine to all, the central government said that the goal is to protect the most at-risk people. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggesting that all people above 18 years of age should be allowed to take the vaccine.
