With 202 new cases of Coron virus (Ladakh Corona Cases Update) coming up in Ladakh, the union territory has increased to 16,784 cases. At the same time, due to the death of five more people due to infection, the death toll has risen to 170. This is the highest number of people who lost their lives in a day due to COVID in the state.
Officials said on Wednesday that four people died in Leh and one in Kargil due to infection. He said that 170 people have died due to infection in the Union Territory so far, out of which 123 people died in Leh and 47 in Kargil.
1,583 active cases in the state
The number of active cases in the state is 1,583, out of which 1,300 are being treated in Leh and 283 are being treated in Kargil. Out of a total of 16,784 cases of infection in the state, 13,810 were reported from Leh and 2,974 from Kargil. Officials said that 156 people recovered from the infection, which together brought the total number of people to be healthy at 15,031, which is more than 90 percent of the total cases.
4,529 people died in 24 hours in the country
The number of people who lost their lives to infection has increased to 2,83,248 after the death of COVID-19 to 4,529 more people in the country. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Wednesday, the number of infected cases in the country has increased to 2,54,96,330 after 2,67,334 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in a day. According to the data, the number of active patients has decreased, currently 32,26,719 people are being treated for Corona virus infection in the country, which is 12.66 percent of the total cases. So far, a total of 2,19,86,363 people have become infection free and the national rate of recovery of patients is 86.23 percent. At the same time, the death rate from COVID-19 is 1.11 percent.
