These two states are at the top, from where the maximum number of cases are being recorded. While other top states include Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

1.80 lakh active patients of corona in Kerala

The total number of infected in the state has gone up to 44,88,840. While 42,83,963 people have been cured of the infection so far. At the same time, 23,439 patients have lost their lives. There are 1,80,842 active corona patients in Kerala. With the decline in the cases of corona, the state government has decided to reopen the schools which were closed since March last year from November 1.

The officials have been directed to complete the necessary arrangements at least 15 days in advance for the reopening of schools. Classes 1st to 7th and classes 10th and 12th will start from November 1. All other classes will start from November 15. At the same time, 3,391 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Maharashtra on Saturday and 80 people died.

47,919 active patients of corona in Maharashtra

With this, the total number of infected people in Maharashtra has increased to 65,18,502 and the death toll has increased to 1,38,469, a health official said. After 3,841 patients became infection free in the state, the total number of cured people increased to 63,28,561. 47,919 patients are currently being treated here.

Apart from Kerala and Maharashtra, the states most affected by Corona include Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. In the last 24 hours, 1,653 new cases of corona infection have been reported from Tamil Nadu. At the same time, 1,174 new cases have been registered from Andhra Pradesh. While 889 new patients have been found in Karnataka.
