Giving impetus to the Corona Vaccination campaign in the country, the Center told the states that they will meet the target of 100 crore doses in the next few days. For which the government has asked the states to intensify their COVID vaccination campaign. Till Saturday, 94 crore people across the country have been given doses of corona vaccine. In fact, the average weekly vaccination has been falling steadily for the past three weeks. The daily vaccination range between October 2-8 has been 25.5 lakh to 78.9 lakh doses, which is an average of 59.8 lakh doses a day.
After 25 million doses were administered on September 17, the weekly average between September 11-17 had increased to 95.5 lakh doses a day. After which it fell to 76 lakh doses and 69.2 lakh doses in the next two weeks (18-24 September and 25 September-October). Between October 2-8, the average daily immunization fell to an average of 59.8 lakh doses. In a meeting with the states and union territories on Saturday, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inquired about the issues which are hindering vaccination. He asked 19 states to increase the speed of vaccination so that India can meet the target of giving 100 crore doses of vaccine in the next few days. He said that giving 100 crore doses is a ‘milestone’ in India’s vaccination campaign.
Corona vaccination in the country-
According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, till Saturday, more than 79.12 lakh (79,12,202) people across the country have been given the dose of corona vaccine, after which the number of corona vaccination in India is now 94 crore. Is. The report states that 94 crore doses of the vaccine have been administered to citizens through 91,40,316 sessions. After which the total vaccination figure in India has now gone up to 93,99,15,323. 37,98,90,830 persons of age group 18-44 have taken their first dose in 37 states and union territories and a total of 9,81,36,153 people have received their second dose.
At the same time, 1,03,74,846 healthcare workers have been given the first dose and 89,95,831 workers have been given the second dose. Talking about frontline workers, so far 1,83,57,931 frontline workers have been given the first dose and 1,52,78,433 workers have been given the second dose. Meanwhile, 16,43,35,949 people of 45-59 age group got the first dose and 8,17,98,092 people got the second dose. Over 60 years of age, 10,38,78,387 beneficiaries have received the first dose and 5,88,68,871 people have received the second dose.
