Meanwhile, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said that out of total Kovid cases in India, 92 percent patients have recovered and 1.3 percent deaths have occurred. About 6 per cent are new covid cases. About 58 percent of the country’s total cases are coming in Maharashtra. About 34 percent of the cases of death from Kovid are being recorded in Maharashtra.
He said that out of the top 10 districts with the most active cases of Kovid-19, seven districts are from Maharashtra, one of which is from Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Delhi. We have suggested to the state governments to increase the percentage of RT-PCR test, which has been decreasing in Maharashtra in the last few weeks. Only 60 per cent of the total tests were conducted in Maharashtra through the RT-PCR method last week. We suggest the states to take it to 70 percent or above.

He said that 43 lakh doses of vaccine were applied in the country on Monday, due to which we have put 8 crore 31 lakh doses till Tuesday morning.

43 lakh people got vaccinated on Monday
In the last 24 hours more than 43 lakh people in the country were given the anti-Kovid-19 vaccine, which is the highest in terms of doses given in a day. According to the health ministry’s data till Tuesday, a total of 8,31,10,926 doses of vaccines have been given so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 43,00,966 doses of the vaccine were given, of which 39,00,505 beneficiaries were given the first dose of vaccine and 4,00,461 beneficiaries were given the second dose of the vaccine. Of the total vaccines administered so far, 60 percent of the doses have been given in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
