Increasing Corona cases increase concern, Harsh Vardhan will hold a meeting with health ministers of 11 states tomorrow
Due to the increasing cases of Corona, Union Health Minister Harshvardhan will preside over a meeting on Tuesday. It will hold a meeting with health ministers of 11 states and union territories. It is to be known that for the first time in the country, more than one lakh new cases have been reported in a day and the total number of infected people has crossed 125 million. However, the number of deaths has decreased compared to the last two days.
Active cases are increasing rapidly and currently their figure has crossed seven lakhs. In the last 24 hours, 1,03,764 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country, 477 people have died and 52,825 people have been cured. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that on 8 January, the United States surpassed 300,000 daily coronavirus cases. On 25 March, Brazil recorded 100,158 new coronovirus cases and 2,777 new deaths. Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 vaccine administered in the country reached 7,91,05,163.

PM reviewed the situation
Prime Minister PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with high officials on Sunday to review the situation. PM Modi said that to prevent corona infection, a five-point strategy i.e. testing, tracing, treatment, proper covid behavior and vaccination is necessary. Not only this, in the states where more cases are coming out, there are instructions to leave central teams immediately.
From 2 April, the government started vaccinating all people above 45 years of age. India started the vaccination campaign on January 16 with priority to all healthcare and border workers in the first phase. The second phase commenced on 1 March where doses were given to people above 60 years of age.
