Corona has wreaked havoc all over the country including the national capital Delhi. A record 10,774 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Delhi on the previous day and 48 infected people have died. Meanwhile, in view of the increasing number of patients from Corona, the Delhi government has appealed to the people to leave the house only when needed. Apart from this, it is said that beds are being increased in hospitals.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Monday, ‘Corona cases have reached the new level in Delhi. It is an appeal to everyone to leave the house only when it is necessary. We are constantly increasing the beds. In the last one week we have increased 5,000 beds and even today 50 per cent beds are available.
He said, ‘Delhi government has 5,525 beds in the Covid Care Center, out of which 2 per cent of the beds are full and the rest are empty. We have requested the Central Government to do it again at the level at which beds were available earlier. They currently have 1,090 beds, whereas earlier there were more than 4,000. Earlier, Health Minister Jain had said on Wednesday that in view of the pace of increase in cases of infection, the record of the maximum number of cases of one day in November last year can also be left behind.
34,341 patients are undergoing treatment in Delhi right now
So far, 11,283 patients have died from Corona in the national capital. So far, 7,25,197 cases of infection have been reported in the city, out of which over 6.79 lakh patients have become infection free. Treatment of 34,341 patients is going on here. The number of detained areas in Delhi has increased to 5,705. The infection rate is 9.43 percent. Delhi had the highest number of 8,593 daily cases reported on November 11 last year and 131 people died due to infection on November 19. This is by far the largest figure in a single day in relation to death.
Situation in Delhi ‘very serious’: CM Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold a meeting on Monday afternoon to review the status of Kovid-19 in the national capital. He said the previous day that the situation in the city is “very serious”. Get out of the houses only when it is very important. The fourth wave of corona virus is more dangerous than the previous wave and it is spreading so fast that it has caught many people. In the last 10-15 days, the cases have increased very fast. The government is closely monitoring the situation.
