Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan will hold a meeting with health ministers of 11 states and union territories today to review the increase in cases of corona virus infection. These 11 states are Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan. Covid-19 cases are continuously increasing in these states.
Due to increase in cases of Kovid-19, the Center has set up 50 high-level public health teams and these are being deployed in 50 districts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab. The Health Ministry said on Monday that these teams should be sent to 30 districts of Maharashtra, 11 districts of Chhattisgarh and nine districts of Punjab to help the state health department and local authorities under the monitoring, control and prohibition measures related to Kovid-19. Used to be.
Central team will visit states immediately
The two-member high level committee consists of a diagnologist / epidemiologist and a public health specialist. The ministry said that these teams will visit the states immediately and will monitor the entire Kovid-19 management implementation. Senior officials of the central government have been appointed as nodal officers for Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab. High-level teams will report to the nodal officers in these three states and coordinate with them. These teams will submit daily reports on five aspects including investigation, detection of people exposed to infected persons, hospital infrastructure, Kovid prevention practices and immunization.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a high-level review meeting on the Kovid-19 situation and vaccination campaign in the country, asking all states to take necessary stringent measures with comprehensive restrictions to curb the spread of corona.
Corona figures in the country
During the last 24 hours in the country, 96,982 new cases of corona were reported. With this, the total number of infections has increased to 1,26,86,049. During this time, 446 people died. With the new death figures, the death toll from the corona has now crossed 1,65,547 in the country. In the last one day, 50,143 people have been cured from Corona, after which the number of people who have been cured of infection has increased to 1,17,32,279 in the country. Currently there are 7,88,223 active cases in the country.
43 lakh people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours
In the last 24 hours more than 43 lakh people in the country were given the anti-Kovid-19 vaccine, which is the highest in terms of doses given in a day. According to the health ministry’s data till Tuesday, a total of 8,31,10,926 doses of vaccines have been given so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 43,00,966 doses of the vaccine were given, of which 39,00,505 beneficiaries were given the first dose of vaccine and 4,00,461 beneficiaries were given the second dose of the vaccine. Of the total vaccines administered so far, 60 percent of the doses have been given in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
