More than 43 lakh doses of vaccine were put across the country on Monday, which is the largest number in a single day so far. According to the latest statistics of the Union Health Ministry, 8,31,10,926 doses of vaccine have been applied so far in the country. On Monday, 43,00,966 doses were put in a day.
Earlier, on April 1, the maximum dose of 36,71,242 was put in a single day. In India, under the third phase of corona vaccination, all people above 45 years of age started getting vaccinated from April 1, after which it has gained momentum. In the vaccination so far, 7,22,77,309 people have received the first dose and 1,08,33,617 people have taken both the doses of the vaccine. In the last 24 hours, the first dose was given to 39,00,505 people and the second dose to 4,00,461 people.
The nationwide vaccination campaign in India was started on 16 January. Under which, first the health workers were vaccinated and then the vaccination of the frontline workers was started from 2 February. At the same time from 1 March, vaccination was started for people above 60 years of age and those above 45 years of age with other serious diseases. After the rise in new cases of Corona virus in the country, the demand for providing vaccine for everyone has also started to arise.

New cases of infection had increased from 20,000 in just 25 days to one lakh on Monday. At the same time, according to ICMR, more than 25 crore samples have been investigated in the country so far.
