Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday congratulated those states and union territories, which have administered the first dose of Corona Vaccine to 100 percent of their population. All adults in Sikkim, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Ladakh and Lakshadweep have been given at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya’s office tweeted, ‘Congratulations to all these states and union territories for giving the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to 100% adult population. The dedication and commitment of the health workers of these areas is commendable. Along with this tweet, the office of the Union Health Ministry also shared a chart, showing Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu (6.26 lakh doses), Goa (11.83 lakh doses), Ladakh (1.97 lakh doses) and Sikkim (5.10 lakh doses). Including various states.

Vaccination figure in the country crosses 74 crores
The Union Health Ministry informed that on Sunday, the number of corona vaccinations in the country exceeded 74 crores. According to the data received from the Co-Win portal, till 8 pm on Sunday, about 50,25,159 doses of the vaccine were given. The nationwide vaccine campaign was started on 16 January, in which health workers were vaccinated in the first phase.
After this, the vaccination of frontline workers started from February 2. The next phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign started from March 1, in which people above 60 years of age and people of 45 years and above suffering from serious diseases started. The country started the vaccination campaign for all people above 45 years of age from April 1.
The government then decided to expand its vaccination campaign by allowing all people above the age of 18 years to get the vaccine from May 1. The ministry said that the vaccination campaign is regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19.
