The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that India has become the fastest vaccinated country in the world, overtaking the US in the anti-Kovid-19 vaccination. On an average, 30,93,861 doses are being given daily in India. So far, more than 8.70 crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccine have been given in the country. According to the provisional report till 7 am, 8,70,77,474 doses of the vaccine have been given in a total of 13,32,130 sessions.
Of these, 89,63,724 health workers have been given the first dose of Kovid-19 vaccine and 53,94,913 health workers have been given the second dose. At the same time, the first dose has been given to 97,36,629 personnel of the advance front and the second dose to 43,12,826 personnel. Apart from this, the first dose has been given to 3,53,75,953 people above 60 years of age and the second dose to 10,00,787 people of the same age group. At the same time, the first dose has been given to 2,18,60,709 people between 45 years and 60 years and the second dose has been given to 4,31,933 people.
In these seven states, 80.70 percent cases of corona were reported.
In the last 24 hours, more than 33 lakh Kovid-19 anti-vaccine doses were given. On the 81st day (April 6) of the vaccination campaign in the country, 33,37,601 people were given doses. Coronavirus cases are increasing continuously in the country and on Wednesday, the highest number of new cases of 1,15,736 were reported. Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala accounted for 80.70 percent of the new cases. Maharashtra had the highest number of 55,469 cases. There were 9,921 cases in Chhattisgarh and 6150 in Karnataka.
630 people died of corona in the last 24 hours
The number of under-treated patients has also increased to 8,43,473 which is 6.59 percent of the total cases of infection. In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 55,250 cases of under-treatment. The number of people recovering in the country has increased to 1,17,92,135. In the last 24 hours, 59,856 people became healthy. In the last 24 hours, 630 people died due to infection. Of these, the participation of eight states is 84.44 percent. Maharashtra had the highest number of deaths at 297. In Punjab, 61 people died due to infection. In the last 24 hours in the country, no deaths were reported from Kovid-19 in 11 states and union territories. These include Odisha, Ladakh, Daman and Diu, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
