According to the data released by the state health ministry, 49,058 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in the state in the last 24 hours and with this the number of people infected so far has increased to 17,90,104.
After the death of 328 patients of Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours, the number of people who lost their lives due to this infection in the state has also increased to 17,212. Bengaluru has the worst condition in Karnataka. About 23 thousand new cases have been registered in Bengaluru, which is included in the state capital and 4 metros. According to the data of the state health department, 23,706 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Bengaluru in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 139 patients died of infection in Bengaluru during this period.
Number of active cases crosses 5 lakhs
According to the data released by the department, the number of active cases in Karnataka is more than 5 lakhs. The number of active cases in the state has risen to 5,17,075. With this, 18,943 people have recovered in 24 hours in the state. So far, 12,55,797 patients have been cured. 1,64,441 samples were examined in a day in the state. So far 2.65 crore samples have been tested in Karnataka.
Nearly 62 thousand new cases in Maharashtra
Talking about the most affected state Maharashtra, 62,194 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the state, while 853 patients died. The state health department official said that 73,515 patients have lost their lives so far, while the total number of infected people has gone up to 49,42,736. Compared to Wednesday, 4554 more new cases of Kovid-19 were reported on Thursday, while 67 fewer patients lost their lives.
63 thousand patients recovered in a day
During the last 24 hours, 63,842 patients were discharged from hospitals, the official said. So far, 42,27,940 patients have recovered from the infection. There are 6,39,075 active cases in the state at present. He said that at present the recovery rate in the state is 85.54 percent, while the death rate is 1.49 percent. With 2,77,086 tests conducted, a total of 2,86,61,668 samples have been tested so far in the state. The official said that 3,028 new cases of Kovid-19 from Mumbai have increased the number of infected to 6,68,085, while the death toll has risen to 13,580 with the death of 69 more patients.
