3617 deaths due to corona across the country
The Union Health Ministry said that about 20,86,12,834 vaccine doses have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. Meanwhile, 1.73 lakh new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in the country. This is the least new case in 45 days. According to the Union Health Ministry, 3,617 people died in the last 24 hours. While 2,84,601 people also recovered from the infection during this period. The weekly positivity rate in the country has come down to 9.84 percent.

The number of active cases (people undergoing treatment) in the country has come down to 22,28,724. According to the Health Ministry, 3,22,512 people have died in India since COVID-19. At the same time, the recovery rate has increased to 90.80 percent.
1.66 crore people aged 18-44 get vaccinated
According to the latest figures of the Union Health Ministry, 28.92 lakh doses were applied across the country on Friday. At the same time, 16.45 crore people have been given the first dose and more than 4.40 crore people have been given both doses so far. More than 1.66 crore people aged 18-44 have been vaccinated under the third phase vaccination that started from May 1.
