In the fight against Corona in the country, the Railways have installed 4000 Covid Care Coaches with a capacity of 64 thousand beds at several stations including Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. However, so far only 81 patients have been admitted.
In the fight against Corona in the country, railways are constructing four thousand coach cavid care centers with capacity of 64 thousand beds at stations in the country including Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. But the speed of shift of patients in these coaches is very slow. So far only 81 Kovid patients have been admitted to these centers, while 22 patients have been discharged. Still hundreds of beds are empty. For this, the railway officer is in constant contact with the officials of the concerned area so that it can be used properly.
Dr. BP Singh said that people have a different feeling about these Kovid centers. One is made outside the railway station. At the same time, patients and their families feel that there is more heat in it, there may be ventilation or other problems, but it is not at all like that the railway has a system of the most skilled personnel. Arrangements have been made to keep the temperature maintained.
According to the data released from the ministry, coaches with a capacity of 1200 patients are available for Delhi. A total of 75 of these have been prepared in coaches. 50 coaches in Shakurbasti, 25 coaches in Anand Vihar have been prepared as Kovid Care Center.
Isolation coaches made in Bhopal too
In Bhopal, the Railways have prepared 20 isolation coaches with a capacity of 320 beds but, so far, only three to four patients have been admitted. There too, the government and railway officials are in touch so that people can be informed about the facilities.
24 isolation coaches with a capacity of 292 beds have been prepared at Nandurbar in Maharashtra. In this too, 73 patients have shifted, out of which 7 have been discharged.
Deployment of coaches in Uttar Pradesh too
In Uttar Pradesh, the matter is different, the Railways has made a Covid Center in some cities here as a precautionary measure. Kovid centers with a total capacity of 800 beds have been built in Faizabad, Bhadohi, Varanasi, Bareilly, and Najibabad. A total of 50 coaches have been installed in these cities, 10 to 10 coaches have been set up at each station.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has repeated many times that 64 thousand beds are being arranged in the country. In such a situation, if the concerned state uses this resource of this railway in the right way, then it will be good for everyone along with the patients and the purpose of the railways and the state governments will be fulfilled.
