Corona has wreaked havoc in Kerala. On Tuesday, 4,656 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported here, with which the total number of infected people in the state has increased to 51,62,025. Meanwhile, 134 more patients have died due to infection. After this the death toll has increased to 41,902. The State Health Department issued this information by issuing a release. Earlier on Monday, 3,277 cases of corona virus infection were reported in the state. There has been an increase in cases compared to the previous day.
The new cases of death also include the number of such dead, which for some reason was not added to the death toll in the past. Of these, 28 patients died in the last few days. According to the release, during the last 24 hours in Kerala, 5,180 patients of COVID-19 became infection free, due to which the number of people who beat the infection of this deadly virus in the state has increased to 50,91,224. It was informed in the release that the number of patients under treatment of COVID-19 in the state has increased to 40,072.
According to the Health Department, out of the 14 districts of the state, the maximum number of 776 new cases were reported in Ernakulam. After this, 705 new cases of corona virus infection were registered in Thiruvananthapuram while 537 in Kozhikode. The release said that during the last 24 hours in Kerala, 67,437 samples were tested for COVID-19. A total of 1,64,650 people have been kept under observation in the state, out of which 4,714 people are admitted in various hospitals.
More than 129 crore doses of corona vaccine have been applied in the country
At the same time, if we talk about vaccination in the country, so far more than 129 crore doses of anti-Covid vaccine have been administered. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Tuesday. The ministry said that till 7 pm on Tuesday, more than 66 lakh doses of vaccine were given. The ministry said that the number of vaccinations may increase after the data is received by late night. The vaccination campaign was started in the country from January 16. In India, the process of giving vaccine to people above 18 years was started from May 1.
