25 flights to Delhi carrying 300 tons of Kovid relief material in five days
In the last five days, 25 flights have arrived at the Delhi International Airport carrying 300 tonnes of Kovid-19 relief material. The airport operator Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said in a statement on Monday that the airport has built a ‘Jeevodaya Godown’ on 3500 square meters for interim storage and distribution of relief material. According to the statement, between April 28 and May 2, in five days, about 25 flights reached Delhi airport, which contained about 300 tonnes of luggage. The statement said that these flights came from various countries like USA, UK, UAE, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Germany, Qatar, Hong Kong and China etc. It states that most of the relief flights have been operated by Indian Air Force aircraft, including IL-76, C-130, C-130, C-5, C-17. According to the statement, these flights have brought 5500 oxygen concentrators, 3200 oxygen cylinders, more than 9,28,000 masks, 1,36,000 ramdesvir injections.
