Coronavirus: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on this issue that he is thankful for this railway program but find out the reason why it has not started yet.
In Delhi, people suffering from corona are getting beds in neither the government hospital nor the private hospitals. Even patients are dying in many hospitals due to lack of oxygen. At the same time, the Covid Care Center that Indian Railways has built has not started yet. A week ago on the demand of the Delhi government, the Railways built quarantine centers for patients affected by Kovid in railway coaches at Shakur Basti and Anand Vihar stations, which are ready from Monday.
Railway sources tell that all the arrangements have been done there. This quarantine center has been made equipped with all necessary facilities from oxygen. An officer posted in Anand Vihar told NewsNCR Digital that we have been waiting for many days now that Delhi government officials and doctors can come here and the treatment of patients can begin. In this, doctors and para medical stop have to be given. Also, an ambulance has to be arranged, but till now the action has not been completed on the other side. On Friday, Railway Board chairman Sunit Sharma said that the Delhi government will soon discuss this issue so that it can start early.
400 beds arranged in Anand Vihar
When it started last year, most of the doctors in it were from the defense ministry and the paramedical staff was from the Delhi government. Patients were referred here when they could not find a place in hospitals around Anand Vihar. The patients used to stay fine in the Quarantine Coaches here. Quarantine centers have been built in 25 coaches in Anand Vihar. It has 400 beds.
In Shakur Basti, the railway has built a quarantine center in 50 coaches. It has an arrangement of 800 beds. IRCTC has arranged to eat free of cost to the patients coming in this time like last time, but still waiting for the auspicious moment. According to the Delhi government source, this time like last time, the center is not getting support from doctors and paramedical staff.
Manish Sisodia said, start making quarantine centers soon
On this issue, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that he is thankful for this program of railways, but till now, find out the reason why it has not started and try to get started without any delay. The issue to be considered is that in view of the lack of beds in Delhi, the Delhi government had asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide doctors and paramedical staff for the already built Kovid Care Center in Chhatarpur, after that the Ministry on Thursday took responsibility for ITBP Di and are expecting to be functional in the next two days, but in the first phase only 500 beds will be provided, later it will be increased to 2000 beds. In such a situation, the common man is worried because 1200 beds are not used. We hope that the Delhi government will soon use this quarantine center for patients.
