Corona Cases Update: India is currently at number three in cases of corona infection after America and Brazil.
The second wave of Corona in the country continues to wreak havoc. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, more than 1,26,789 corona cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. At the same time 59,258 cases have been recovered. In 24 hours, 685 people have lost their lives due to Corona. After the new cases, the total number of corona infections in the country has increased to 1,29,28,574.
So far 1,18,51,393 cases have been recovered. The number of active cases in the country has crossed 9 lakh. Now there are 9,10,319 total active cases in the country. The death toll has also risen to 1,66,862. So far, 9,01,98,673 vaccine doses have been given in the country. After the US and Brazil, India is currently at number three in cases of corona infection.
Active Cases Over 9 Lakhs
115,736 infection cases were reported in the country on 7 April. It is a matter of stress that now the load of active cases has crossed 9 lakhs in the country. 66,846 active cases have increased in the last 24 hours, which is 6.59 percent of the total active cases. The recovery rate has now reached 92.11 percent. The number of deaths in the last 24 hours is 1.30 percent of the total deaths. According to ICMR data, 1,237,781 sample tests were conducted on 7 April in the country. So far, 252,677,379 samples have been tested in the country.
More than 60 thousand cases in Maharashtra alone
Maharashtra accounts for the largest share of new corona cases. In 24 hours, 59907 new cases of Corona have been found in the state. Only 10442 cases have been registered in Mumbai. The total number of infected with new cases in the state has increased to 31,73,261, while the active cases have now reached 5,01,559. Corona cases have increased not only in Maharashtra but also in the capital of the country. There have been 5506 new cases of corona infection in the state, while 20 people have died in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in Delhi has increased to more than 6 percent. The total number of infected in Delhi has increased to 6,90,568. 10,048 patients are in home isolation. Apart from this, active cases of infection have also increased to 19,455.
