Aarti Ahuja, additional secretary of the Ministry of Health, said on Friday about 16.96 per cent active cases and about 82 per cent cases have been recovered in the country. The death rate is 1.09 percent. 4,14,188 new cases were filed yesterday. Yesterday, 18,26,490 tests were conducted.
Also said that there are 24 states and union territories in the country where there is more than 15 percent positivity rate. The 5–15 percent positivity rate is in 9. Less than 5 percent of the positivity rate is in 3. There are 12 states in the country where there are more than 1 lakh active cases. The number of active cases remains between 50,000 and 1 lakh in 7 states. There are 17 states where there are less than 50,000 active cases.

Apart from this, cases are also decreasing in Bhagalpur, Sahebganj and Pakur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Rajasthan. Cases are also decreasing in some districts of Gujarat. The states are requested to try to get the priority group vaccinated as soon as possible.
