Naxalites attacked the joint camp of CRPF personnel on Monday and opened fire on the camp in Sukma of Chhattisgarh. During this, the soldiers have also retaliated. Three people died in the grip of this firing. The villagers here were protesting against the soldiers’ camp for the last three days. On the other hand, IG Sundarraj P. of Bastar said that during the encounter between the naxalites and the jawans, the people killed in the firing could not be identified.
IG Sundararaj P. has told that a camp for security forces was started in Silger village of Sukma district last week. The Naxalites had instigated the villagers since the formation of the camp. Due to which the villagers started protesting this camp. They have said that when the crowd of villagers gathered there to protest the camp, the Naxalites started firing at around 12:30 pm. During this incident, three people were killed in retaliation by security forces.
No casualties identified during the encounter
Three people have been killed in the counter-encounter action issued by the CRPF. IG Bastar Sundararaj P. has told that the bodies of the three persons killed have been recovered, but the bodies have not yet been identified. During this incident, a large number of security personnel have been sent to the area. They have told that the operation is still going on. Only after stopping, the situation will be clear.
