Campaign against Naxalites will continue: Baghel
On the incident of the death of 22 soldiers in the Naxalite attack, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the morale of the soldiers is high and action will continue against the Naxalites. Baghel said during a conversation with journalists at Swami Vivekananda Airport after returning to Raipur from Assam on Sunday that the Maoists are fighting their last battle, they will be put to an end soon. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was on a tour of Assam for the last few days, he was campaigning in favor of the party in the assembly elections.
Baghel said that our security forces are fighting with the high spirits by entering into their den from the Naxalites. In this battle between the security forces and the Naxalites in Bijapur, the Naxalites have suffered a lot.
Baghel said, “The place where the encounter took place is considered a stronghold of the Naxalites. We had planned to set up camps for the security forces there, which has upset the Maoists. ”
He said, “It was not just an encounter. Rather it can be called a war which lasted for about four hours. “
Baghel said, “There was heavy firing from both sides.” Hand grenades and rocket launchers were also used. Our soldiers were martyred, but they fought bravely. At the same time, he also worked to remove the dead bodies of the wounded and the martyred soldiers from there. ”
The Chief Minister denied the failure of the information system in this incident and said, “This is not an attack on the police camp.” We were in an anti-Naxal campaign in that area. We are moving towards Sukma, Bijapur and Dantewada and are setting up camps. Naxalites are now reduced to an area of 40 square kilometers. This is his fury. We were going to set up a camp in that area, we would set it up. This is the area where there will be a halt in Naxalite activity after the camp opens. That is why he has gone mad. Our campaign will not stop. Camps and roads will continue to be built. Will provide resources to the people there. The sacrifice of the soldiers will not go in vain. “
